Michigan Unemployed Benefits

There is a ton of useless information concerning the Michigan Unemployed Benefits available to those who are out of work or have been laid off. I have fellow family and friends that have been out of work in the Great State of Michigan for over a year now. They have spent time writing a resume and searching for work. It is not due to a lack of effort or education, but a lack of work opportunities that leaves these folks in the position they are in. It is important to understand the Michigan Unemployed Benefits available.

  1. Prior to contacting the Michigan unemployed benefits office you need to have an idea of where and when you have worked over the past few years. This will help with your Michigan Unemployed Benefits.
  2. If you have already assembled a basic resume make sure to bring it with you when you go to the Michigan Works office. You will have to enter your information into a computer data base. Don't worry - there are people there to help if you are not great on the computer.
  3. Visit the Unemployment Insurance Agency website http://www.michigan.gov/uia for the online application form. This application is available during the hours of 7am and 7pm Monday to Saturday. You can also try the toll free number 1-866-500-0017 with your details.

If you need help writing a basic resum there are tons of online examples and free templates.

I hope this has helped with your struggle and would love to hear a success story or two after reading the BEST RESUME WRITING TIP.
